There is a village where the barber shaves all those and only those who do not shave themselves. Who shaves the barber?

This is a paradox.

Can the barber shave his own hair? No because he only shaves people who don't cut their own hair.

Can someone else cut his hair? No because he is the barber.

So in the end, there is no village or barber, which makes this a paradox.

OKAY IT CANNOT B SOLVD U GUYZ

The first rule is that the barber shaves all those who don't shave themselves. So, if the barber doesn't shave himself, then he must shave himself

BUT the barber cannot shave those who shave themselves. so, if the barber shaves himself, he cannot shave himself

EDIT: the rules he lives by are extremely arbitrary and pointless

No, think about it. The barber shaves all those and only those who do not shaves themselves. This means he can't shave anyone who shaves themselves. This means he can't shave himself, because if he shaves himself he is shaving someone who shaves themselves.

If he doesn't shave himself, then according to the riddle, he does/has to shave himself.

If he shaves, then according to the riddle, he doesn't/cant shave himself.

Its a paradox, no answer works.



Much like, if god exists, and he is all powerful, can god make a rock so heavy that he cannot lift it?
