I loved watchmen.  One of the best movies of the year imo.

Watchmen did not live up to the book at all. And for that TDK is much better.

how the hell were they gonna shove the whole deal behind the squid into this movie?
I don't think they could have done it.  The movie's already almost 3 hours long.

The squid is the main thing that kept that comic hokey.  I think the movie makers deliberately left out the squid to de-hokey-fy the movie.

The Godfather.

Watchmen was a better comic than the batman comics the dark knight was inspired by.  Im referring to the Killing Joke, Year One etc..

However as a movie the Dark Knight was much better than Watchmen.  Honestly I enjoyed Watchmen because I knew the comic, but as a movie the director who made it can't compare to the Dark Knight director.

Apparently it's 25 minutes longer.  So, what's the difference?

Yeah I did.  It just has some deleted scenes that weren't in the theater version.

you can't really compare watchmen to dark night.  i havn't even seen watchmen but the first movie is always better, hence i liked batman begins better.  plus christain bale i dunno i think he's loosing his touch.  i think his best movie was reign of fire, or thats the one i enjoyed the most anyway mostly because it was semi original and i tend to lean towards scifi.

at any rate i plan to rent watchmen tomorrow
