Tell me what kinda mushroom my lil friend is!

I found this lil guy growing in my front yard after a light rain storm yesterday.







The location I found them is in the Charlotte area on North Carolina.

That could be Panaeolus cinctulus, check the spore print color.

Looks like P. cinctulus to me as well.  Spores should be black.

woah woah woah guys, u need a better print, i have had pre prints like yours from foes that look just like that. u need to put in on tin foil for over night. no one can tell (not even you) its def black, im not just being mean im trying to save your from the nasty shits that foes give you. if they are subbs then congrats, but i still have doubt. get some more, i would like to see some habitat shots too if possible.

Also the lighting is bad on the print, no one can see if that is a subb or foe.  Take the picture outside in full sunlight, hold the print at an angle and use macro mode so the focus is sharp.

I can not argue that the photo of the spore print helps at all.  However, based on the photos of the mushroom itself I would call it P. cinctulus.  In fact, I would not have even called for a spore print. 

If the guy says the spore print is black, I'm not going to argue 'cause that is exactly what it looks like it should be.

That print looks black to me, the gradient from the darker parts to the lighter parts is gray.

Also the gills are very Panaeolus-like and don't have the foe look to them.

I agree with Curecat, the mushroom itself looks like enough proof that its a cinctulus specimen.

OP: Draw a thick line next to it with a black sharpie, that may help you in the future :thumbup:
