clear tubbeware fruiting chamber
    #1064129 - 11/18/02 10:55 PM (15 years, 6 months ago)

got a fruiting chamber. Preparing to get it ready. IT's clear. should I duct tape the sides and cut a hold in the top with saran wrap or just leave as is?

if your fruiting chamber is clear, thats fine, as long as your substrate casing containers are not clear

You don't need to do anything with the fruiting chamber. just the casing tray needs to be opaque on the bottom and sides. As for blanking the sides of the fruiting chamber, and introducing light only from above, I've read that it makes the fruits grow up straight and uniform toward the light above, instead of tangling aroud each other, and eliminates fat asses.

well there will be cakes and maybe a casing so for cakes is blocking the light from the sides necessary. IT seems thats what everyone does?

if there are only cakes in there than should it be covered from light?
