Rubbermaid fruiting chambers

Would a large Rubbermaid container work for a fruiting chamber for several cakes if the top was loosely covered with a clear material(plastic wrap or something)?

Well, a clear top on a rubbermaid container should work. But 'loosely' covered might mean you lose humidity too fast.

I use a large tub with poster putty around the top edge.....then I put a big piece of glass over the top. works nice:)

Yea rubbermade containers work great for fruiting chambers. My 1 casing terrarium is a dark blue rubbermade container. It wouldn?t let any light through so i just cut the top, put saran wrap over it and duck taped both sides to keep it air-tight.

plastic containers like that work great. Even if you have an opaque container you don't need to cut and insert a piece of glass onto the lid. It will get enouph light when you take the lid off to fan. They will pin.
