Heating Pad + Fruiting Chamber??

If I'm using a rubbermaid container as a fruiting chamber and have a 1 inch layer of damp perlite on the bottom and want to raise the temp inside the chamber could I lay my fruiting chamber on top of a heating pad?

My only concerns would be drying out the damp perlite quickly with the heating pad nearly touching through the plastic...

Are there any better methods of heating?

that might be able to rasie the temp. . . give it a try a monitor it closely. My friend's friend used to use a space heater in close proximity to his grow chamber in his closet and said it worked like a charm keeping the temp around 85.

Damn that pitcher idea for humidification is fucking briliant...however do these dual output air pumps make any noise???\

Thanks for the tip djd586....I've heard that placing fruiting chambers near heated objects increase temp well....so many methods :smile:

Dual input pumps are loud as shit.  Especially any Aquaculture double output pumps.  I'm sure many others are ridiculously loud too.  This posed a problem for me, so I abandoned tons of beautiful bubbles for just a few, with a single output tiny Whisper one.

It's quiet, and works.. :smile:

lots of perlite and lots of water and you have no problems. the perlite and water acts aas a nice buffer

You can add an aquarium heater to the pitcher tek, I've forgotten if it's in there, thus killing two birds with one stone.
