In Europe, one vast colony of Argentine ants is thought to stretch for 6,000km (3,700 miles) along the Mediterranean coast, while another in the US, known as the "Californian large", extends over 900km (560 miles) along the coast of California. A third huge colony exists on the west coast of Japan.

haha maybe... just maybe, ther eis a massive gigantic queen ant in the middle of the colony and some bigger war drones being brewed up for massive takeover. Please give me this, there is almost no chance of my zombie apocalypse in the future. At least this way I'm getting a run for my money haha

lol remember supersized human killer ants would probaly be more of a challenge than some lumbering zombies...imagine that..if millions of killer ants just suddenly poured out... they'd be hella deaths thats for sure.

anyhoo back to reality..ants are really one of the most fascinating species i think, there must be billions of ants in the European colony...crazy stuff..i imagine they'll have a rather large graveyard down there in the depths of that place

These introduced Argentine ants are renowned for forming large colonies, and for becoming a significant pest, attacking native animals and crops.
