I have not seen elves, but I can relate to what you may be experiencing. Instead of elves, I see goblins (of some sorts; maybe orcs), and they are wearing or utilizing some sort of 'active camouflage.' It was as if they were watching humanity, keeping us prisoned in a systemized world of forced conformation (forced because we don't know otherwise or better). They blended in with any object, and I would only catch a glimpse, or hear a sound, of them every once in a while. I reasoned that I was only aware of their existence because my eyes had 'opened up;' I could now focus. I noticed them through sound and sight, only when they moved. I determined that ninjitsu, and the way of the ninja, was the only way to become stronger and 'on top' of the goblins. The shadows and my mind would become my dwelling place, where I secretly keeped 'tabs' on the doings of the goblins.

Or maybe I was hallucinating because I had been awake for over 48 hours, had not eaten anything after the 22nd hour, and had eaten mushrooms at the 47th hour. But I did see, what appeared to be, some sort of being which was not human.

Yeah i felt similar to that where I know of the elves exisiting but they were the real ones free, where it felt like i had a glass wall and yet they can interfere with me i cant interfere with them.

But Darcho why'd you do the whole fasting thing?

The whole fasting thing was unintentional. I had been writing an essay and hadn't had time to eat or sleep, then next thing I knew I was eating mushrooms.

i don't want to go into an argument about how much i disagree about the forced conformation and all that stuff, but thats really how i feel. thats non sense, what the fuck else are you supposed to do? just live life man don't trip about what the gov't is doing unless it's hassling your ass.

anyway... dmt and 4-ho/po-dmt are almost the same thing. the only difference i'm guessing is that the phosphate ester and the other one are packin' the chemical heat it takes to make DMT orally active. though i've never done ayuasca i'm guessing it's similar to some sort of dose of shrooms. could be completely wrong though... just guessin.

The cuteness of machine elves is more in their actions than apperance, they are just alien like balls, remind me of that film flight of the navigator, but their play full nature is what i would say is equal to what we would associate with the 'elves' we know from folklore.
Visions of little elven people(like those in folklore) while tripping, is completely different to machine elves though, i would say they are more an individual interpretation of hallucinations, where as machine elves are a global phenomenon, that transcend the possible sociological explanation's for their being seen.

They are real in my opinion. I have seen them without mushrooms. This picture particularly looks like a girl I love. I have seen this elf around her. (sounds crazy doesn't it?) Well its pretty cool. And those who have experienced this will understand what I mean. I beleive they are in different dimensions.

I also wrote a story about this girl after i saw the elves around her.
She was cloaked in Emerald. Her pupils shone like, solar discs surging with electricity.
As our thoughts linked, she winked at me. The demon was paralyzed by sin in the corner,
as i conducted the holy ghost in its presence. She saw it too. The veil had been lifted from her eyes,
again. She looked to me for support, and protection. She saw the dragon hidden within me,
and lemony amber glint, in my eyes. As the spirit electrified the night, all were wide awake, except the devil.

As she stood by my side, she felt the magnetism of our spirits. She saw the blue butterflies within my soul,
frolic, with her royal purple butterfly tattoo. Her energy linked with my every though,
she spoke exactly what I perceived happening that night. We sung in harmony of meeting in reality
by coding our dreams. the walls bled with memories of the past.... she felt it too. As I looked in her eyes,

RedRainDrop, I agree with you. 

I hope no one will mind me quoting a passage from "Breaking Open The Head" by Daniel Pinchbeck.  He describes a session with a Mexican Shamaness in which the elves appear to him as well...not the machine elves. 

..."that night, on mushrooms and moclobemide in Palenque, I saw something that I absolutely did not want to see - something so ludicrous, so embarrassing that I hesitate to tell it.  Lying on a bed ina  darkened room with eyes closed, I watched rapid bands of greena and yellow flimmering across my inner view scdreen, typical optical effects, but these green blobs suddenly sharpened into focus - the knobs of my internal receiver turning - until I found myself staring at a group of laughing green elves standing in a line.

There were many of them.  A mob of little people in traditional green outfits and peaked caps.  The elves were jumping up and down and they were cheering.  When I saw them, I could hear their cheers faintly in my ears - 'Hooray!'  They seemed to be welcoming me, very happy and excited because i had seen them.  What was alarming about this apparition was that it was like a pohotographic projection: The elves were as clear to my inner vision as film images.  How could this happen?

He!he!i agree to a certain extent, but i think it comes down to the question of what really is reality, for example, our pineal glands all produce an amount of DMT, when we introduce higher levels of DMT into our bodies through use of related drugs, our perception of reality is completely different, so what would reality be without any DMT active within our bodies?I think DMT is the key to what we would call different levels of reality(although i would extend this to all entheogen's, each offering entry into different levels of reality) and on certain levels of reality i am sure that these creatures exist.

Yet is has not been proven. There is a difference between speculative thinking and actual fact. It seems likely, but no one has been able to prove it beyond the shadow of a doubt yet. So for now, we must be careful not to assume it's true.

Therefore making the statement that "our pineal glands all produce an amount of DMT, is false", is a false statement, as you cant either prove or disprove the theory, and as far as im concerned, if Strassman believes it to be the case, then i am happy to trust his instinct!Most of what we now know as fact came from speculative ideas of individuals who were experienced in their field. Multi levels of reality is a 'speculative theory', which you were quite willing to agree with!
