I can't remember where, but someone on here posted a paper awhile ago debunking that claim (that its produced in the pineal gland)

Well please find it and post the link, i would be very interested in reading it, as would Dr.Rick Strassman im sure, as it would disprove a large part of his life's work!

Strassman never said that the pineal produces DMT. He hypothesises about it and thinks it is most likely, but he never managed to prove it. And even if I cannot disprove this theory ( which I am not willing to anyway ) it doesn't make it equally valuable as it's opposite, that's not the way it works.

Besides, DMT is also found in the liver, the spinal fluid and in the blood. So since it isn't centralised in the brain, other possibilities are left open, not just the pineal one.

last time i tripped on shrooms, when i would close my eyes i would see a nice big ole' trippy looking cube (like the kind you see in artwork)  any1 else seen this?

The topic of "making contact" with "entities" is one that I find very intriguing. Personally, I believe these entities to be "real". What do I mean by real...? well, that's a whole other discussion in of itself.

i've seen elves once or twice. i always assumed they were the fabled "deemsters" at least, that makes for a better story.

its interesting OP said they tried to humiliate him... once on a good dose of shrooms 3 of these so called elves or deemsters were taunting me in a doorway inside of my mind.

I never said he did prove it,maybe a better way of phrasing my original post would have been, infact his overall theory, i would say, fits more into the genre of metaphysics, than biology 'it is believed the pineal gland produces small amounts of DMT', however it really is irelivant, in terms of what i was talking about, you'v totally overlooked my points in the previous post about the history of hypothesis, an if you want to get into the debate of hypothesis, then the basic ethos of it, is that hypothesis is a closed loop, where there is no scientific fact, but only constant hypothesis, being researched, confirmed, re-researched, disproven etc . The fact is, you picked up on my point of endogenous DMT production, yet agree with my view on reality, side buy side there is more scientific basis for support of the DMT production statement, than that of the existance of multi levels of reality. I just find that highly hypocritical, as it comes down to personal opinion, so to turn round and say my view is 'false' is very unfair, a better way of putting it would have been to say 'i personaly dont agree, because.....'If your going to refute a statement, atleast back it up(im waffeling, can you tell i got a shipment of sub coca through this morning;) )

I don't know if you're talking to me, but I would say that it's not about personal opinion when you definitely made it sound like the pineal gland was where endogenous DMT is produced. You're trying to squeeze out of a situation where you endorsed such a statement, a false statement, by now pointing fingers at who said what.

Like I said, it's likely, but not proven and until it is, we best avoid speaking like it is and concentrate of what is known for sure. And as for multiple universes and levels of reality, the fact that I avoid taking a theory for granted doesn't mean I shouldn't believe in different realities. May I remind you that DMT is beyond a doubt found in the human body, that it is produced by it? ( although we don't know how and why ). Not to mention that it is " drafted " from the body to the brain, crossing the blood/brain barrier as if the brain itself needs it for some obscure reason. These facts are the ones who give strenght to an hypothesis such as human beings possessing the capacity to perceive other dimensions and levels of reality, not a speculative notion about the how and why the molecule that permits such a thing is generated in the first place although, sooner or later we will need this information and this is why Strassman and others are dedicated to this cause.

And if it turns out that indeed it is produced by the pineal gland, splendid! But right now, we have to settle for it being present in our body which already means a lot.

Only time ive ever seen anything really strange like that... was when i ate 20 datura seeds, everyone around me wasnt human anymore they were fucking evil ass gremlins whose faces glowed...Shrooms never gave me visuals like that....

The elves seem to be machine like and very high spirited.  The little citizens or tricksters of hyperspace. They kept messing with me last night and it was the first time I've encountered them besides on salvia when one popped out of a pine tree.

Last night while taking the fourth toke of my DMT kush sandwich my little zong turned into an alien machine, my hands looked totally alien, and the lighter turned into a smiling little mischievous elf that glided away and got lost in the visions once i tried to use him to light my stuff.  I didn't take enough to breakthrough but the alien artwork was amazing and entities were present.  Wish i would of seen some more elves.

I think that the visuals you create, or just see in your head belongs somewhere not pertaining to the physical. They're real, but in a different sense of the word.

There really is something special that happens – something just beyond reach yet closer than ever before, something made of materials that are brighter and smoother and more animated and exciting than ever before, something utterly astonishing happens wherein suggestions of what might be coming, have already occurred and expectations overlap with senses, while time itself takes on different characteristics (non-linear) and  space becomes unchained from the fixed grid.

This is consistent with all psychedelics and it intensifies with dosage.
Yet it only lasts as long as the drug is at threshold levels. (so shorter for DMT and salvia, and longer for LSD and Shrooms)

All of this relates to slower fading of moments where persisting sensation and thought overlap and time is no longer intuitive.

Elves are part of all that - part of the magic material, the magic time and space, the magic colors, and the magic of suggestion and expectation mixed with richer experiencing and layered moments lasting longer and layering more thickly.
