Today I went in to buy all my supply and stuff...
perlite check
verm check
big plastic box thing check
12 1/2 pint jars check, oh wait this box is missing one jar, ill get this one....
BIG MISTAKE ahhh!!!

I took some 500ml jars... am i screwed? Can I still do it with these jars???

probably not, for a cake that big it will take a really long time to colonize, go for grains like rye so you can shake it and spread the mycelium around.

Can you return the jars? You have to have a PC for rye and other grains, so the Pf tek is the only thing you can do without it. It can be done, but it may take months to fully colonize, 500ml, is a lot.

Well the one that I learned from is www.shroomwizard.com . He's got a pretty easy to read grow guide (although I wouldn't really do casings the way he advises).

If its a pint, you can do PF, it will just take longer, but you will get more fruits since you have more substrate.

500 ml = 16.907 oz.

my buddy did some pints of EQ pf style...if time isnt an issue it will work just make sure they are widemouth jars otherwise it will be a pain getting the cakes out...you can do the pints and then pick up some half pint and do them too and maybee by the time the 1/2 pints fruit the pints will be ready to fruit..but instead of doin 1/4 cc per hole for 1/2 pints . do 1/2 cc per hole in a pint jar..dont stress it man itll work. ..also throw some plain verm in the bottom like a 1/2 inch put the substrate in and then another 1/2 inch verm on the top this will speed it up a little..
