I'm all for a great piece of art, or a dedication, a momento of something REAL, but most tats I see are trifling garbage. Cliched tramp stamps, stupid barb wire wraps, flowers on girls feet, and I won't even start talking about how pathetic most of the "art" is. For God's sake, if you're going to ink up, get a real artist, not some meff addict who can draw comics real good when he's not in county.
The issue here (IMHO) is flash art. 99% of those crappy tats come from a kid that walks in and points to something on the wall and says "I want that!" It does not take an artiest to trace some piece of crappy flash and tattoo it on a body.
However, it is their body and it is their choice.

Just remember beauty is only skin deep! Once you peal the skin off, everyone looks the same, ugly.

Chinese is always fun, has anyone ever noticed how every shop has different symbols for the words? Ever wondered why? I would not get something put on me, in another language, unless I am sure of what it says. You never know with Chinese those two charters that the artiest told you said "I Love The World" may just say "I am a Fucking Idiot"

The only thing that truly matters is that the tattoo has meaning to the person who it is on. They are the one that has to live with it. If others don't like it then so be it. We can complain about the kids with the 10$ flash tattoos all day but in the end they are the ones that have to live with it.
Personally, I agree with #3, I don't care if anyone else in the world likes my tattoos. They are mine and they are me.
