The Music Propagation - 2009 Music Festivals and Concerts

This year musically is set to be one of the greats thusfar for our current generation of teens on up -- even if we were just looking at the newly anticipated album releases for the year. Then look at the Music Festivals and concerts this year has set up and its just redikk.

This is only my own little sonically-oriented list (thusfar), but the list is going to continue to blossom:

  • Tool Tour in Town (my first time seeing them)
  • 311 w/ Ziggy Marley (Tandem-Esque)
  • Incubus LIVE(first time seeing them, so fucking stoked)
  • Blink 182 Reunion after Travis Barker's near-fatal accident
  • Bush planned to reunite after lengthy hiatus sometime this year
  • Red Hot Chili Peppers set to group back and start writing/recording new music in September/October of this year
  • Shpongle's Halloween Bash Including new album release, Ineffable Mysteries from Shpongleland
  • A Full-Plate of Spectrical Release with new CDs from artists such as: Shpongle, Astral Projection, Bluetech (The Devine Invasion just released), Afterlife, 311, Bonobo, etc etc etc
  • Music Festivals, high-octane ver.2009, such as Lollapalooza (tool headlines this year), Bonnaroo, Rothbury, Summerfest, and a few others that i'm sure some of you Shroomery folk will be attending.


You guys got a sick summer lined-up as far as the sonical regions of the atmosphere are concerned??
Would like to hear what kind of PARTY time-released euphoria is going on with the masses

i dunno, blinks gonna have something to play for as they're reuniting after travis barker (undoubtedly one of the most talented drummers who have graced this planet) almost died in that plane accident....should be a good one. i saw them w/ green day years back and it was a good time

protip - playing pop-punk is really, really, really fucking easy. no matter how you might feel about the emotional content of the music or whatever, it is fucking laughable to suggest that anybody in blink 182 could compare with an average jazz, funk, or even rock musician.

I hate to defend blink but Barker is a really talented drummer, before he went big with blink he was involved in drum corps and those are some seriously talented percussionists.

shits all about rediculous precision speed and technical proficiency. Certainly could be argued that it lacks a certain creative aspect, but theres no debating that barker is talented. Completely different styles
