Somewhere at my website at mushroomjohn.com.species.htm in the P. cyanescens pictorial are 6 photographs of the opnly known collection of wild P. cyanescens photographed in the middle of trail in the midle of a clear cut in Kingston Washingtonn from 1977.
No one has ever seen them in the wild before.
They are commn and have symbiotic relationships with certain plants and love alderwood. they come in with the muclh and if it is rich in nitrogens and phosphates they will seven crawl out into the edgess of the grass. Roadkill and I found about 8 last week in a grass lawn all by their lonesomes.

Hey MushroomJOHN!! I am curious, what makes a cyanescen wild?? Is it the lack of man made woodchipings?? I am curious, you say your "wild" cyanescen pictures came from a logging road in a clearcut...well wouldnt that be a manmade habitate and therefore not wild? I am just confused on this whole "wild" cyanescen that none but you has even seen.

oh thats a bummer, i was really looking forward to enlightment. How bout you ponder these cyans and tell me why they are not wild because there is woodchips under the grass and this treeless area was created by someone. Unfortunaly these have noooo woodchips and are in a naturally treeless area of the forest/transition to the sea lands. The only thing i can see unnatural about this spot is the english ivy that grows in the same vicinity.

fuckin eh cardboardo, what about cyans in alder woods growing near trails but on fallen alder twigs and cones(forget proper term for those)? no wood chips present there. in fact the trail and its borders were all cedar bark. what about finding cyans in riparian zones where the debris collects at unusually high water marks then is grown through by tall grasses. perfect '' wild" azure habitat. but since the area is downstream of a logging operation does thatr count as manmade? there are lots of "wild" cyans I think stamets has some wild cyan pics also.

yeah, but was the stump cut or did the tree fall naturally? was it a native tree or was it planted. the term wild for cyans all just seem s silly to me. it is a species with a will to survive and obviously spreads to places where it wasnt intended to go, like police stations so I think unless it is a cultivated patch, all cyans are wild.

I have found them in Eugene. I have not found them in PTL, but would bat money that they grow there.
