i think claiming that you hate dane cook is a pretty popular thing to do. 

yeah single him out to be a fag because he got really popular really fast...


just like with music...people listen to it but when it gets huge they are all like "yeah i liked the early stuff but now its gay." when did it get so gay?  i doubt a lot of you have even heard very much dane cook and you just cant wait to seem like some type of critic by saying he sucks or fuck him.  that isnt criticism that is just stupid.  its not like ANY of us know the real dane cook at all...he is just a dude doing his thing to make some bank...shit.

i think that there are plenty of comedians out there that suck a lot more than dane cook does.  he isnt THAT funny, but i wouldnt say he is awful either.  just turn on comedy central and check out premium blend or some of those stand up shows they have sometimes.  some of those comics are HORRIBLE.

I totally agree with you: saying someone "sucks" when you haven't even heard the guy in ALL his stand-ups is just stupid. How can you judge what is funny or not? Its all a matter of personal preference and experience. What might be funny to one person may be stupid to another. Humor is a very subjective human experience. I could get into a philosophical debate about "what is comedy", but I'd rather not. Besides, if he has millions of fans, maybe its because he's good at his job? (just a thought)

One more thing: usefulidiot13, if you're going tell the critics that, quote: "that isnt criticism that is just stupid.", you should really put Capitalized Letters at the beginning of your sentences, and use commas/apostrophes when necessary.

Now that's just stupid.

His standup makes me laugh, but I can't stand his acting. His roles are horribly predictable (so is some of his routine).  I think he is funny, but he is a douche as well, so... fuck that guy.

I was reading in the news the other day that Dane Cook's brother in law (his manager) was recently arrested for embezzling something like over 3 million dollars from him.
