so, are you a fan? I just watched Employee of the Month, I thought t was pretty funny.


but now I am watching some Dane Cook Comedy Special and I am not finding it all
that funny.

I only saw part of his "standup" on HBO one time. I didn't know who he was and I didn't know he was supposed to be a comedian for about 10 minutes. I was confused.

So no, I don't think I'm a fan.

He's a good actor I guess, for a comedian.  Bat as far as his stand up goes he sucks.

I thought he was some kind of news reporter and was warming the crowd up before he got serious or something. I had no idea what to think. I do know that I grew up on comedy, and I like all types, from Newhart to Cosby to Rock and everything in between and Cook is just plain bad.

I thought he was good in the begining, but once I got to know him... went downhill from there.

Same.  Probably because he started with his own jokes.  Now he hires people to write for him.  I actually know one of the writers he employs.

edit:  I'm watching russell brand on comedy central right now.  Not all of his jokes are great, but he's a funny guy.

i consider him, dimitri martin, and carlos mencia some of the worst popular stand up comics i know of. fucker just isn't actually witty, or funny, for shit :thumbdown:

I had to sit through a 6 hour car ride listening to his stand up cd. :suicide:

He just makes funny movements and sounds. Lame. Hes one step up from a mime in my books

He has good delivery, but that's about it.

I'm not a fan of his jokes at all. I don't get what the big hype is about him. :shrug: Maybe because it is the in-thing to do?
