Hey im after some real nice slow reggae songs, i bought Cedric Im Brooks - The Magical Light Of Saba, very happy with it, but iv been hard pressed to find something as good or with the same vibe, anyone got any suggestions?? will attach sample to thread for the exact vibe im lookin for..

Sounds like dub. Well, I have a few recommendations for you.

Look for King Tubby
Listen to Sly & Robbie (That's my recommendation to anyone)
Use last.fm, search for Cedric on it, and then it'll play stuff it thinks is similar. If I put in say, Alpha & Omega, it'll play that, as well as, improvisators dub, Iration Steppers, The disciples, and a whole bunch of others that I forget.

nothing dub about it, more like contemporary reggae, i know of some of the artist you mentioned, i like King Tubby, but im not really looking for dub, i want that old school reggae sound, dub is abit trippy, thanks anyway

by "old school reggae" i assume you mean roots reggae?

try burning spear, israel vibration, black uhuru, the abyssinians, barrington levy, prince far i, the upsetters, etc.

check out this blog - they have all the trojan box sets. you might especially like the upsetters one, the 60s one, the jamaican r&b one, and the soulful one.
