Quick question on benzo and beer

I took half a klonopin 4 hours ago when I made my speech and I am a little wiped but wanna stay up for the rest of the night- love how easy going I am after taking benzos, but anyway I just want to ask is it safe to drink a few beers 4 hours after taking benzos?

in other words- is it only dangerous to mix alcohol during the first hour or two of taking a benzo?

Drinking on benzos will more than likely make you do a bunch of incredibly stupid shit (and then not remember it the next day). I had to kick a friend of a friend out of my place once because he had been drinking on benzos and was knocking all my shit over and stumbling around and just generally making an ass of himself.

drinking a few beers on a football isn't that bad, but trying to drink a fifth while popping a football every 3 hours is

Klonopin is one of the longer lasting benzos.  After four hours it should still be running strong.  Wiki says klonopin half-life is 18-50 hours.  Which means it'll take 18-50 hours before half the high wears off.

my question is mainly because I took the benzo four hours ago so I'm not really that fucked up by it- just kinda wobbly and lazy......

i know that drinking a few beers right after taking a benzo can be deadly, but I took it few hours ago half a dose k-pin:omgawesome:

half-life doesn't exactly correlate to high duration, but it does give an indication.
for example the half-life of THC is ~19 hours and we all know weed doesn't keep you high for an entire day.

Not true. It's the time it takes for half of the substance to be eliminated from your body. It doesn't mean that the high will last that long.

Klonopin highs usually last around 4-6 hours.

A few beers won't hurt. You might notice an increase in the alcohol effects and your memory might be a little hazy in the morning.

If you find yourself getting too fucked up, just stop drinking for a while and settle down.

The benzo is still active as it has a 30 to 40 hour half life. But because you only took half a pill its safe to assume you didn't take very much regardless of having no tolerance. So yes you will feel the synergetic combination of alcohol and benzodiazepines but it wont be very strong. AS dangerous as the combo is, its very easy to take much higher doses of them combined with much higher doses of alcohol without dying.



So if health is an issue you have absolutely no worries and if making an ass out of yourself is the issue you have slim chances of that but you will feel increased effects.
