Been playing for 6 years. My rockstar moment was the finals at battle of the bands. Fucking awesome. Except music shouldnt be a competetion.

Got a youtube I need to update(music no vids) with acoustic stuff and an old myspace. Getting back into the swing of things this summer.

Ive been playing guitar for as long as i can remember. I mostly write my own music but six by all that remains is fun. tomorrow ill record some stuff to share in this thread.

been playing a lot of instruments the majority of my life. Start young forced into piano for a little while. Later years was forced again into all things percussion. Took lessons at universities for years, and did percussion competitions. Started picking up a guitar during those years of few free time and havent looked back. I write all original songs now. But building chops I always enjoy a Steve Vai or Paul Gilbert lick. I don't invovle lyrics anymore in songs. After lots of practice, a guitar can speak and sing better than any vocalist, IMO. Now I'm taking my time to produce a solo album. Not to make a profit, let people enjoy my interpretations of music if its their taste, and help inspire new musicians.  All instruments played by me. But I don't plan to ever play in front of an audience anymore. Ive always wanted to pursue luthiery or give lessons 
I have a question to add, to this thread.

What are the odd habits you have from playing so much?  mine would have be that i have guitar picks in every pocket i have 24/7, even my pajama's while i sleep, and during laundry loads

Yah, I play. Started when I was 15 and I'm in my late 30's. Did the band thing for 8 years of it, mostly cover bands playin clubs. I still play at home to keep it alive.

I practice with bands like;

Stryper
Living Sacrifice
Extol
Bride
Blindside
Five Iron Frenzy
Staves Acre
