possible problem with pins?

i have a casing (peat and limestoneflour) of a pint b+ colonized wheat berries. last wednesday the pins were a few milimeter tall, today they measure average 3 centimeters talls, they are growing, but growin slowly.
anyway, some of the pins that are growin, have like a blurry blackish greyish color on the tip of the heads, maybe like only four pins have this, no definite outline, just like a discoloration at the tip of thehead. could it be a contam? any suggestions?

Either your temps are too cool (or too warm) and/or your cakes are not getting enough water. the mushrooms you describe with the off colors are abhorts. pick and eat those.
