What kind of insects are these?
    #10230661 -

This plant was kept in a garage all winter and when I moved it outside I noticed bunches of yellow insects on most of the stems. Also, the plant is in pretty bad condition compared to what it usually looks like around this time of the year.

Here's a pic, pardon the quality it was taken via my only camera source, my phone

I can barely see them in the picture, but they could be scale insects

You need to use macro setting, find someone who will let you use their camera and take another picture until then it's really hard to tell. Or take a magnifying glass and use it with your phone, see if you can get a better picture.

Aphids are the rainbow, I've seen everything from pale lime colors to bright red to black.

Steep some tobacco in water and then spray it on them

Take your tobacco "tea", emulsify into it some vegetable oil using a mild, unscented detergent, and you will have a very good organic insecticide that sticks to their little bodies

Get a cheap bag of pipe tobacco (high nicotine content), boil about a cup per gallon of water. Store in in the fridge, as the tobacco will ferment quickly, and smell very unpleasant.

You could also just use a pack of cigarettes, or a pack of chewing tobacco.

you can probably order them from a hydro store or regular garden shop, they are not likely to have them there and then, but you might be lucky and find some locally...

they may be easier to find online, i'd say that mail order is probably your best option.

the only plants i currently find aphids on are my tobacco plants lol.

if your making tea form tobacco i recommend not using commercial grade, it is often full of TMV infected plants, which can then infect the plants your treating or the bugs your killing may live a bit and fly away to infect another plant.
