From a consumer perspective I think formats like this will struggle.

I think that a huge portion of consumers will never own a tv above 42".  As such, they will derive little benefit from a format with this high of a resolution.

Some calculations have determined that on a 45" inch set, the benefit (or noticeable difference) between 720P and 1080p occurs at LESS than 5 feet.  Who the hell sits that close?

they didnt have a UHD video source for the demo..and that makes me kind of skeptical...in the meantime..panasonics' 150-inch "lifescreen" does 2160p..provided that your local cable company offers that service (we only get 720p/1080i in innsmouth)...

My father wants to buy that tv, when he told me the price of it I was like, dude! what the fuck! Crazy old man

It's an awesomeeeee tv though and I think it's totally worth it,
