Moving down to NC, next Sunday..

Going to crash at my moms house for a bit, before I get my own place. I'm mostly going down to get away from all my OC connects and see what else is out there.. hell I don't know. I had to also agree to go to some sort of meetings to help fix my opiate addiction.

The only thing that I'm worried about is meeting new people. What the fuck is there to do in Cary, NC? Anyone else around that area?

cary?  there's nothing to do in cary.  cary is like one big fucking cul de sac.  suburbian nightmare.

however, it borders raleigh, durham and chapel hill.  there are some pretty decent venues in the area, if you like going to shows. 

and all three cities are college towns, so there are plenty of bars and the like, which will generally be full of young people.  though you may have to be wary of which parts of durham you wander into.

lots of farmers' markets too, if you're one who appreciates fresh foods.

all in all, the triangle is actually a pretty decent area, even if cary sucks the balls and licks the shaft.

Hunt/fish/4 wheel drive/race/drink/hike.
Shooting/camping/mushroom hunt.

It appears to be a large town and that should include all city activities....

Cary is like fifty miles, Charlotte is like 1 and a .25 hrs away. Durham and Raleigh are no more than 60 miles.

we could prolly arrange a small but fun gathering somehwere.  :shrug:

I just realized I am the only one that has been here less than a couple months, so no one prolly wants to meet me. lol.

oh well. in a couple a years guys and girls.

Good luck with staying away from OC. :smile:.
But if you want it bad enough, you'll find it no matter where you are. I always thought about moving away to get away from heroin, but I realized that i'd find it regardless of location. But best of luck to you :sun:

raleigh and chapel hill are ok. durham sucks, don't bother.

i lived there most of my life. picked up a pretty large opiate addiction with OC's there too, so be careful. they're everywhere you go.

Yeah I live in NC on the coast!!! so sorry about you're luck.....The Ashville area has plenty of fun summer festivals!! and there is always a drive to the beach...Not much but the bar/club scene in Raleigh Durham/Cary area...good luck with the opiate's I'm an junkie-ex so I know what's up and it sux!!!!...you can Pm me anytime I consider myself a nice guy>>>>>>>>>>^E

there is a lot of soul in SC, specially when you get out of town and start talking to them girls with that gravel in their voices.  Country ass women. NC gots some too.
