Sometimes Gainesville is just fucking ridiculous.

In the past 45 minutes while heading about a mile down the street to pick up something to drink, I came across a veritable parade of absurdity.

It began with what appeared to be a drunken hippie staggering past me down the sidewalk, and while that certainly isn't out of the norm around here, this particular drunken hippie had a squirrel perched on his should that scowled menacingly at everyone that he passed. He was wearing a tiny vest(the squirrel, not the alleged hippie) that appeared to have been made out of a blue synthetic rope, and he was contently chomping away at whatever it was that his staggering hippie comrad was feeding him.

Next up was a highly disheveled woman covered in tattoos outside of the gas station asking for money, and while again there certainly isn't anything out of the norm about that around here this particular woman had a face that was familiar to me. She was the coke whore of someone I used to live next to, who was at one point on the lam for (and I quote) "crimes against nature". I've never really known what that meant, but I assume she is a dog fucker. :lol:

As I made my way back home from the store it got even stranger. First I was greeted by a extremely tall and highly skinny black man with a large messy afro, who had two white bags tied carefully around his hands. He smiled at me with his enormous toothy tard grin, and waved both bagged hands at me in a fit of gleeful nonsense that was only exceeded by the pure peculiarity of the seemingly Irish dance that followed. It was a cross between lord of the dance, and the Monty Python horse impression all wrapped up in the body of a 70's Ethiopian distance runner.

I kept on walking down the road, giggling to myself at what a funny little trip this had turned out to be, and as I looked to my left a cartoonishly ghetto fabulous car slowly passed me occupied by a man who was very obviously getting a hand job from his lady friend in the passenger seat. Ha ha, giggle giggle, shit like that happens, but its not really a big deal.....until 2 or 3 cars latter another cartoonishly ghetto car rolls by, and inside I see almost the exact same fucking thing, except this guy was getting a BJ.

High strangeness indeed....sometimes this town just makes me :facepalm:
