> Yeah.  LOL.  They just crapped out the stuff they put in that dud bomb of theirs.

What are you rambling about?  They had a plutonium production facility.  This is where the plutonium that was used in their fizzle came from.  After the fizzle, working with the six party talks, while Bush was in office, they dismantled a large portion of their plutonium production capability in such a way that it would take a least a year, if not longer, to once again produce plutonium.

I don't think they ever stopped because it isn't something you can turn on or off like a light switch.  Look at Iran's efforts.  They've been at it for over a decade and still aren't there.  It's not that easy for these idiots to do.

Or they aren't actually trying to make a bomb.  One or the other.

If I'm wrong (and I don't think I am) so what?  If you're wrong, then what?

I'm not disputing this, but can you provide a link about this?  Thanks.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

If you're wrong, then we start World War III over a mistake.

The Yongbyon reactor was shut in July last year as part of a six-party agreement reached 16 months ago, when the North said it would scrap its nuclear ambitions in return for aid and diplomatic concessions.

Thanks for the link.

North Korea agreed to disarm in exchange for aid.  That was Clinton's approach, which Bush stopped in exchange for his "tough guy" strategy.  We all know what resulted after that.  Then Bush went back to the Clinton approach, and it worked.  Imagine that.

To be clear, TGRR said: "Or they aren't actually trying to make a bomb.  One or the other."  He did not say: "They aren't actually trying to make a bomb".

Now, to answer your question, what if you're right or wrong about Iran working towards nuclear weapons?  I guess that depends on what you propose we do.  If you think we should invade Iran (or support an Israeli invasion), then we risk WWIII.  If we do what Obama is proposing (diplomacy to ensure they are no longer developing the capablity) then it doesn't really matter if you're right or wrong.

I don't think we have to invade.  And just how do you think doing the same to them will result in WW3 any more than Iraq or Syria when they got their facilities splodeyed up?

So why didn't it work for the eight years that Clinton tried the "Clinton approach"?

For the record, I think Iran IS working towards nuclear capability (who wouldn't when Bush was president?)  Maybe an attack wouldn't lead to World War III, but it would surely lead to another 911 attack at the very least.  I'd rather try the Obama approach first.

I must've missed the link showing it didn't work under Clinton.  Can you please post it again?  (for the record, we've been asking for it this entire thread)
