P2P
    #10112796 -

I know, p2p sucks.  I torrent everything.  I uses Vuze and Demonoid.  Sometimes i just want a single song, not an album or discography.  What is my best option?

IDK about Vuze, but Utorrent allows you to select only certain files you want to DL.

Yeah but collections are often RAR'd. For a single song your best bet is probably the gnutella network (Limewire/Shareeza)

Nothing like a good old private tracker for anything bigger than that though.

Many anti-spyware programs have limewire/shareaza on their blacklist simply because of the nature of the program.  I have been using Shareaza for years without any problems. For single music files it is easily the best option.  Just make sure to specify as much info about the file you're looking for as you possibly can (audio file, artist, album) and it should give you exactly what you're looking for.  I agree there is alot of crap on that network but there is also a plethora of music.

Soulseek is p2p exclusively for mp3's. thats what i use to get most of my music, cause theres more on that than torrents and you can get everything in 320KB, you can browse peoples files, talk to people, make a buddy list. idk try it out you'll like it http://www.slsknet.org/

Same. I've never seen rar'd music.
Btjunkie.org is really good for searching because you can search for individual files in a torrent. Also searches private networks.

Ya can't find much music with torrents, just the few most popular cd's that are out right now. Torrent sites wont return any results for most bands Soulseek has around 20 million users its like just as popular as Napster and KaZaA was.

I used to love soulseek, but I think it went downhill in 2005 or so. I haven't used it in a few years so maybe it's improved?

i think yalls real problem w/ finding music on trackers is yall aren't looking in the right places.  dig a little deeper and u will find any cd u want in any format u want.  btw 320 is a waste of space.  there are vbr bitrates that encode just as much music as 320, but use half the space.  look into something called lame and V0.  if u are hard core about quality u may also wanna look into flac.
