Do you guys believe (ADHD) is a lagit condition?

i mean lets be honest. we all seem to have problems concentrating and doing what we need to do. it takes patience and actually using thought to talk and listen to people.

Thats how i've always thought. but my friends have been telling me its hard to understand me half the time because i start talking about one thing and before i finish i think about something els. and starting talking about that leave for alot of open ended conversations and confusion amongst me and my peers. I have a problem with doing what i need to do and procrastinate quite a bit because i just forget about doing it i guess. I'll start to learn a song on guitar learn the first intro and chorus and then stop because it just gets old i start to do something els. Lately i have been asking myself if have this so called (ADHD)

I've always been one for the natural organic medicines. But my curiosity got to me and i asked a friend of mine if i could try some. I took one pill today how it was prescribed and holy shit. I learned 2 whole songs on guitar and was able to concentrate and it just felt really awesome. I just am not sure if a pill is the answer or if flat out hard work is?

whats your guys beliefs on the issue.

I believe it's a real disorder but not even a fraction to which it is diagnosed.

I think it is legit in some cases, but many if not most kids are misdiagnosed for the sake of putting the parents mind at ease or selling drugs.  I also think that a lot of people that legitimately (or not) have it use it as an excuse to justify their shortcomings.

yeah i agree. i'm not sure if i'm just trying to justify my shortcomings and take the easy way out. i dunno i kinda feel like i'm cheating myself if i take them

because we have done without prescription drugs thoughout history. why now? do i actually need it? or i am just pressing the easy button. Takin the pill doing good in school. rather than just putting myself to work and applying myself more? i'm a horrible student i cant get myself to study at all. i forget everything. I'm starting to think i'm just really lazy

I was on a boat over the weekend.  We went fishing.  Drank some good beer while on the water too.  Man, I like beer.  I like cannabis too.  Its cold out here right now.  Man, I wish summer would hurry up and come.  Gonna do some dank barbeque when it warms up a bit.  Wait...what were we talkng about again?

I believe it's a real condition because it's affected my life for years.

I can't even listen to someone talking to my face for more than a few seconds without blanking out and completely missing what they are saying to me. It fucking sucks. I can't read more than a few pages of a book before I start thinking about something else and then realizing that I was just following the words on the page but had no idea what I was actually reading. I can't even learn new card or board games because my attention is so fucked up.

But by being treated I developed a nasty amphetamine habit for about 2 1/2 years. That shit both helped me exponentially and then brought me to my knees.

My view is: low-dose amphetamine a couple times a day is great for making me function a hell of a lot better. I don't know if I've got ADD (I definitely have tendencies in that direction though), but it helps a hell of a lot. And amphetamine has similar addictive potential to caffeine, with less side-effects at useful doses.

So my philosophy is, if you can get prescribed something like adderal that helps you be at your best, why not? If I had med insurance I would definitely be working on getting an ADD script.

I can't pay attention to crap that bores me, I zone out, no matter what I try to do. But things I'm interested in, or need to be on point with, I have no problems.

I believe there's a condition, but how many of us were taught how to focus at a young age?

I'm starting to think you have ADD or ADHD.

The best way to diagnose that problem is to put you on meds and see if you do better. If you do better on meds, why would you not want to take them?

NO. Amphetamines have a much greater addiction potential than caffeine with exponentially higher side effects.

Believe me, I've been there. And I was a caffeine addict before. Amphetamines are not even in the same fucking world as caffeine in my experience.

Its true, I can focus like crazy on shit that excites me, like working on my friends 650whp Mustang SVT Cobra, but day to day activities and other shit that I want to be able to focus on, it's impossible.
