Tripping while your sick?

Anyone ever trip while there sick?.  Im not talking Hospitalized sick, but just sick enough to have some sinus conjestion, runny nose, slight headache.  Basically just enough sick to call in for work.    If you have taken mushrooms while feeling like this did it:  Help or hurt?  No difference?

i've tripped when sick and can't remember it hurting. i once got over a cold in a day w/ 2 hits of acid, some rum, 10+ grams of vitamin c and baking in the sun

Once I had a runny nose and a slight cough, but a friend came in from out of town, so of course I couldn't pass up the opportunity. We both took 3.5g cubensis, it was definitely a memorable night. I remember it felt like my nose was running all over my face all night long, but evertime I wiped my nose or used a kleenex it was dry. I rubbed my nose and face so much I almost rubbed it raw. I don't really remember the cough effecting me, but then again I was smoking a lotta potta that night too.....

I would recomend taking an analgesic and a decongestant nothing to strong just something that will take care of the symptoms for a few hours.  Nothing is worse then having your ears cracking, your nose running, and a cough when you are tripping hard.  :tongue:

haha thats funny. thats exactly what i did last week was sick with a mild cold stayed home from work and took about 2 grams. it was the only time that day i did not have a stuffed up nose or head ache.

I've done acid with a cold and it just seemed to make the body load a little worse. It wasn't a bad experience but if you can wait until you get better, you'd probably have a more comfortable time.

I've usually found that if you're just feeling a but sick, you'll actually get it out of your system by dosing, but if you're pretty damn sick i'd think it would suck.

I find that mushrooms help clear my sinuses. I can feel the mucus creep down my nasal passages. I think I can regulate my body temp better, I'm never cold when everyone else is and I'm never sweating when everyone else is.

For me, lots of laughing always gets my nose running since my eyes start to water if i laugh for a few minutes straight.

Well in theory, if mushrooms can intensify your feelings then couldn't you feel even MORE sick? I could imagine this happening.

Tripped last week with some really bad stomach pains, they went away as soon as I began tripping. Fuck Imodium AD.

Last time i tripped I felt terrible like I was sick although I felt great before I took them and fine again when i came down. Came down with the flu the next day. Anything like this ever happen to anyone else?

Ugh, Imodium.

Awhile ago, I took too much 5HTP and it started to give me the shits, took some Imodium to block up the shits - mother fuck, was that ever a mistake. The pain in my gut got so bad I could barely walk, went to the Doctors and ended up throwing up all over, she gave me a huge gravol injection and suggested I goto emerg.

Just ended up going home and sleeping for 18 some hours in a nice hazy gravol-high :P
