Fuck that shit man. We did a lot to try to save him. I was there that night. We did domain look ups (all fake info), tried to get a hold of his local police department, made posts in the mod forum trying to talk to admins. We did a lot dude, it just turned out that there was nothing we could do to save him :frown:

Aside from that, unfortunately I've seen several Shroomerites go. Whether it be through death or long-term sentences in prison. My heart goes out to all of them. I only hope that the guys doing time are alright and might return once they've served their time.

Edit: regardless of what you read about people hanging up, that's bullshit. We had a description of his general location and his car and the police department said that they needed more information.

I think one of the more tragic deaths in recent history was psilocybe_cubensis. I can't even imagine being there that night. I would have been scared for life. I don't think may Shroomerites who were there that night are still around.


sorry man, i guess from the chat logs and how the media blew it up, i guess they just didn't understand. i apologize, i guess i just wouldn't know -- i wasn't there. i can imagine it being really frustrating and confusing and upsetting though, that's for sure.

i recall reading though that somebody called 911 and "talked their way out of it" and hung up though. i don't know what that means or what happened, but i guess shit just went down too fast, people didn't know how to react or what to do, and i can understand that.

what ever happened to smoke2k? was he even apart of the shroomery?

The guy on the phone with the cops talked his way out of it because they started prying about who he was, where we were talking to him(ripper), what website he heard that on, etc etc etc.

Yes, Smoke2K was a part of The Shroomery. He's still around but a very, very changed person. It took a long time for the admins to let him back on the site. He's actually a quality member now if I'm thinking of the right person. I talked to him a year or 3 ago and he told me he was still around, but I forgot what he said his name was.

i'm sure smoke2k was just fuckin around in those chat logs. everybody made it seem like he was a big villain but by the looks of it he was just kidding. but i wasn't there, and i think maybe if he was watching it go down, perhaps he should have reacted differently, perhaps acted differently and tried harder to help him, i dunno.

Of course Smoke2k was kidding. He was being sarcastic, everyone was. It was kind of presumed that ripper knew he was taking a stupid/dangerous high dose of drugs and no one really took him seriously. People say a lot of shit online that isn't true, we assumed that's what he was doing. It wasn't until it was too late that we realized he actually did everything he said.

I wasn't actually in the chatlogs, I was sending messages behind the scenes and in other IRC channels after I read about it in the mod forum. I was in the logs after he stopped responding.

There was a spore vendor named dimitiri something or another and he got busted growing pot in the place he ran the spore business from. A lot of people got screwed out of money. Dimitri ended up going to jail and no one was too sad about it because he was really shady. I think that was like 01 or 02. Back in the 3Dshroom days.

Yeah he left town to go to some festival and there was a leak in his apartment so his landlord came in and saw the mescaline extraction he had setup and called the cops. Cops found the extract setup, shroom grow set up and some bags of pot. And... He was within 1000 yards of a school.

I remember UncleLuke in particular. The guy was an overdose waiting to happen, there's not much more to it than that. I prevented a few nearly-fatal combinations via PM, but his drive to combine high doses of diverse and mutually-potentiating drugs was bound to end as it did.

He was banned (for a faked suicide stunt) when he OD'd, but the news didn't come as a great surprise.
