Does anyone remember Pnut (who Pnutbot was named after)? He used to frequent #shroomery a few years back. I chatted to him online shortly before he killed himself with a shot gun. I wondered at the time if there was anything I could have said that would have made a difference, maybe there was in hindsight, but at the time you just dont expect that kind of thing to happen.

most likely, but it's not everyday we have a "personality" die... i bet a lot of shroomerites have died, but most of those were probably like people between 1 - 30 posts so nobody realized....

That's all speculation though

Looks like this is getting way more attention.  A random friend(a non drug user)...came on msn(i haven't talked to him forever) and is like..dude look at this...and he gave me a link

it was link to the chat log(with ripper) :frown:

I asked him where he got it....he got it in an email.  It's going around to many people

I personally don't like this...means it's just gaining more and more attention...something I don't think it needs

IAmJewels: I am very sorry for your loss. Ripper was a cool guy.

However, after getting all the facts and reading all the chat logs, i have come to the conclusion that this was probably a suicide rather than an accidently overdose. Keeping that in mind, it's really not the shroomeries fault ripper died.

I used to frequent chat quite a bit, and i talked to ripper most of the times i was there. He was very intelligent and fun to talk to, and was ussually always joking around with others which is basically what goes on in the chat. I didnt know him very personally though, so i had no idea he was depressed, and didnt know his drug usage was so out of control. Understanding shroomery chats light-hearted nature helps you understand how it my have been difficult for some people to take rippers last actions serisouly. And someone like ripper would be even harder to take serisouly since he was always joking around and whatnot. Thats what i think occured anyway. I think people were caught off gaurd and by the time they actually saw him take all the pills on the cam, it was to late for him.

I do think more could have been done though. And i was pissed off at the way a couple people acted. Still though, brandon chose his fate and these people should not be blamed for that. For what it's worth though, i'm sorry.

because of what who did ? you cant blame other people because of what that kid did himself. hes dead and all yeah might be sad for you but it his fault, so bitch him out , blame him. not anyone else. by saying its their fault , your saying that they had control over him, ... is that true? no, i dont think it is.
