jimmy john's is the best corporate sandwich place by far. quiznos is good too, but expensive...

subway is not fresh...i worked there for a few months and it was disgusting. the bread and meat they have there all comes frozen in trucks once a week. when they say fresh baked bread every day, they really mean freshly heated. the meat is all pre-sliced and stored in packets of nasty ass liquid. the only things fresh there are some of the veggies. the only thing subway has going for it is $5 footlongs.

I have seen, with my own eyes, Subway workers put raw dough into the ovens on racks, and those same racks hold the bread they make the sandwiches with.

I'm not saying they have quality ingredients or anything, but in all honesty that doesn't much matter to me unless I'm cooking myself or eating and expensive meal.
I am saying that they bake their bread fresh every day.

That's actually what I like about it, an adequate amount of cheese and meat, and then a whole pile of veggies.

I pay 4.50 for my sub at my Local Hersheys, it's called an Aruba, Ham, Turkey, Lettuce, Munster Cheese, and the most amazing home made russian dressing ever, they cut the sandwich in half and you see the many, MANY, layers of meat and it's just so satisfying, unlike a cloud of bread from subway with a tiny thin middle with bearly any flavor, 9 dollars a sandwich is really ridculous though, unless it's a WHOLE sub

let me tell you what you actually saw.

in the back freezer, they have several cases of what look like frozen bread sticks. they set these out to thaw and rise a little overnight, then put these in the oven in the morning and bake them. the dough is not made in the store like the commercials make it sound.

No, they make it sound like it is baked in the store, which it is.
I mean, any intelligent person can see that it's a weak veil put on by marketing. Who would actually think minimum wage workers at a chain restaurant are making dough that produces a couple good breads?
