a buddy of mine died of an OD about a month ago, and i was trippin the other night and i step out my back door(night time) cause i thought i seen something.. i open the door and he was standing right in front of me(with a big fucking grin on his face)needles to say i slamed the door right in his face and didnt look back.. has anyone out there had an experiance like that??it's been trippin me out ever since...

Wow..intense. I've never had anything like that happen.

The closest I can come to that is this one time awhile ago I picked up a co-worker from work after learning that she had her bike stolen. I was with a buddy so we went to get her and bring her home. On the way back she's crying and whatnot because she loved her bike...I didn't really know what to say but I love biking so I was trying to sympathize and I said "man that really sucks...I love biking!" and she started crying harder lol...i felt really bad but it was kind of funny too. So my two best friend kept teasing me about it for the next few weeks then we had this shroom party. She showed up and at one point I saw her across the room crying...I mentioned to my friend a few days later "hey did you guys see so and so crying?" and they were like What? she was crying? then I realized wtf if she had been crying everyone would have noticed! I completely made it up....

So I'm basically saying it's hard to say if it's a manifestation of your mind. Have you been thinking about this friend quite a bit?

i remember telling another friend(the day before) about how he died. we actually talked about it for awhile.. i like your story man, itkinda makes ya think you know... you had a picture of that person portraited in your mind and maybe it came to furwishon(to life right in front of you)... iv'e never completly hallucinated a full person in front of me before and to be honest i dont want to again...

p.s it was so life like i could almost tell you it really happend,ya feel me?

Ive actually heard about the same occurrence from a person i know.
His friend overdosed while he was on a heavy dose of mescaline.
And he has been seeing , feeling him as well..
Wasnt to happy about going into  detail though..

I think the idea that you conjured him up is far more  unrealistic than the "paranormal"  ,as you have termed it..

Someone on this forum had a post about the veil between the spirit world is thinning..
Perhaps you should read into it ?

It's not an uncommon occurrence To have someone who has died to show up like that. People even when sober have had this happen. When my grand father died my mom woke up in the middle of the night and saw her dad standing down at the end of the bed like he was saying goodbye.

Yes.

My grandfather came back to see my mother and my grandmother.  He spoke to my grandmother and told her something that was going to happen in the future which came true.

He must of said that to prove to us that death is not final.  The only other options are that they imagined it and some how my Gran saw the future and manifested as that or it was complete random trillions to 1 chance of guessing and double hallucination.

I take the likely option, his spirit really did visit and really did impart information about the future.
