Recent spike in paranormal experience.

I have personally experienced a serious increase in my perception of what are apparently non-physical presences. Twice I have taken note of something slow, dark, and somewhat ambiguous entering my place of residence, the first time seeming to scan over my semi-conscious body and then leave, the second time entering my door again (which woke me up). Also, I have seen (in a fully conscious, non-altered state) several shadows moving across lighted areas. There was nothing moving in the room on any occasion and no shorting of the lights occurred. Intuitively I do not feel threatened, and the nature of these things is, as previously stated, ambiguous. Although the presences provoke a fear response it is likely akin to being in a dark room and hearing a mouse move across the floor. Although it poses no threat, the very fact that it is unseen can stimulate fear...I am primarily curious as to whether this experience is being concurrently shared by others here. Thank you for your time.

Agreed. The shadow people. Some call it sleep paralysis... and some will call you crazy.. I've had both.... I think it's more like a mystical experience.. or spontaneous astral projection if you know what to do.. I've been able to leave my body.. for some people it just kinda happens when you're lying down.. trying to sleep.. or waking up in the middle of the night.. it can be the most terrifying experience if you don't know what it is...but the shadow people can't hurt you...anyway.. eat more mushrooms...

I don't care if anyone believes me, but i swear this shit has been happening to me the last three days or so. Something moves just into my field of view and then darts away into nothing when i look. Last night it appeared right in front of me for a moment looking like a puff of smoke. I'm not scared by it initially, however I'm glad you reached out and exposed this as a repeating phenomenon.
Any speculation from the mystics lurking around here?

paranormality is not really my specialty, but i would add that we are certainly not alone in this world.
the visible light spectrum we inhabit is merely a dot in the ocean of existence.
life is teeming everywhere, flying through the atmosphere, and passing through your furniture.
we literally live in a world of spirit. recognizing this may help dealing with such weird experiences.
this is not just our show. nature plays for other audiences too.

Yea ive had these shadow people on my ass for years.

I can honestly say that I've never had an experience with "shadow people", in fact, this is the first I've heard of them and thus put a title to the experience since I was a kid. My cousin once told me of an experience like this he had, quite similar in the details but not the appearance.
He was awakened by someone/something. She was personified, and he discribed her appearance in pretty good detail, not as a shadow person but a woman. He was fearful of her, and the feeling accompanying her appearance was that he should flee. She placed her hand on his chest and he was paralized. He couldn't scream or move. He went on to discribe how he woke up in different clothes than he had gone to bed in, and no memory of what happened beyond being paralyzed.
I've never known anything to change my clothes, so it struck me then as his trying to pull my leg. He was older than I and what could be more fun than teasing a kid? I had almost forgotten the whole experience until I read this thread.
The only time I remember being paralyzed was while dreaming of aliens. (As a child, I wouldn't sleep for days on end just to avoid the fear and nightmares of alien beings.) I still cringe and get chills as one of the most vivid dream memories I have is an alien walking literally through my window and the wall of my bedroom, standing over me. I don't remember being touched, only being paralyzed and fearful unable to look anywhere but directly at it.
Given the two circumstances, not that I'm ruling out the actual possibility of alien contact/abduction, dreams are powerful and thus could give a pretty solid explanation for my and my cousin's personal experiences.
I'd be interested to learn a bit more about the shadow people, what their purpose is. Of course, I could only speculate their existence without first having experienced them myself, though, I'm not sure I'd want to. The idea of being physically paralyzed and in contact with something you're unable to escape is a touch too scary for me to go out looking for it. lol

Excuse the shittiness of this post, Im useless this morning:
Ive had dark and white shadow type things dart around in the corner of my eye.
It kind of reminds me of how if you look away from a computer monitor, but still can see it in the corner of your eye, and there are dark bars moving up and down the screen. I think other people see that, too. Theres alot of things that we dont normally percieve.
If that made sense at all. =P
Ive had alot of strange experiences. Id like to hear more about these shadow people. Sounds pretty sick

Aren't shadow people suppose to be non-human spirits(demons)?
Be safe.
