To some extent yes,
Although, most paranormal stuff has just happened when I've not been looking for it.
I've been to several supposedly haunted locations and seen nothing. We even asked 'them' to show themselves.
Yet the time I went to a graveyard with some friends just to smoke a joint, we all saw a football sized glowing ball float across the graveyard. We all left immediately.
I've done a few sky watches and not seen anything to spectacular, although was some strange stuff.
One night while playing football a dome shaped UFO landed in the field behind my friends house. Another night whilst skateboarding, the whole skatepark witnessed this giant red ball moving about the sky.

I feel the same way as Ego Death. When I go out looking for something I don't find it. When I'm occupied with something else its when paranormal things happen; mostly UFO activity.

that would entirely fly in the face of the spirit of this forum, so i'd be surprised (pleasantly so) if this was common practice.

Interesting story,
Although I have no idea as to what you saw - it really could be anything but it was something paranormal.
If I was to hazard a guess then it could be an entity of some kind, if thats what you felt it was?
When I saw my 'orb', I felt nothing but slight fear. Generally I'm not in-tune with my 'psy' side. It seems to occur spontaneously (i once *remembered* the future).

You've got that wrong.
There are every type of person here just as there is in any forum, place or anywhere. We are all human.
If you think that skeptical people aren't experiencing paranormal phenomena then your very mistaken.
Heres two examples from the UFO phenomena (as I have studied it well) Nick Pope was hired by UK government to investigate the phenomena, he started off a self-confessed disbeliever after studying it for several years he is now convinced that its very real and that there are highly advanced craft of unknown origins turning up all over the globe. The same can be said for Hynek he also started off thinking it was a joke that he would disprove, he is now 'believer' (I hate that label).

Yes i felt an entity, i wouldnt exactly say i was afraid, but i had alot of adrenalin and i wanted to react to it. We are programed by the movies to be afraid from such things i guess
To say im a believer is to discredit these occurences, its real because i feel it. Upon scientific review there may be no bases for my belifes therefor when presented to a third party as beliefs they are inherantly discredited. The Boundries of real may be the skull in some instances. I dont want people to tell me it didnt happen, i saw it, it was real, i dont need a dissenting voice, if i feel my conclusions were not logical i may seek my own advice.
