Too much heat for Straw?

I have a small ('bout 12x10x6) tub of straw and spawn going. I placed it in my terrarium which is about 85 degrees. It's been four days and i dont see anything happening so i poked thru a corner and the spawn is still there, no sign of contam but no growth either, except for tiny tiny patches, one or two.

I'm concerned that if the straw itself generates heat that the terrarium may be too hot or since it's covered with plastic which i only perfroated two days ago (missed that on the tek) that there may be too much moisture.

am i past the point of no return? or do i need to give it a little more time?

oh the straw depth itself is about 2 1/2 - 3 inches...

I keep my incubator at about 85F and my straw experiments have done just fine so far.

Have you poked holes in the saran wrap to allow proper air exchange?

Yeah, I did that two days after i placed it in the incubator - i noticed lots of condensation, large drops collecting on the wrap above the straw and realized i needed air exchange.

i'm just hoping the mycelium isnt dead...
