On a more serious note, I don't know, I never bench pressed.

When I first got into fitness there was this contraption where you sit back, put your feet on a pad and stretch your legs to lift a stack of weights.

I looked at other beginners doing 50 lbs, 75lbs.. I went naaah and put the peg bottom of the stack, 150kg (330 lbs), got in position and proceeded to do 10 reps.

The fitness lady when she saw me went "WHAT THE FUCK - STOP THAT IMMEDIATELY", but I replied "Lady, this is getting up from a chair for me." and finished the 10.

It was better exercise than that of course but I did weight about that much at the time. Arm exercises sucked, I had little strength there, but like any obese guy I may not be fast but I can kick like a mule.

there's so much bullshit in this thread. lol @ 150 pound guys benching well over 200 pounds. yes, I know it's possible, but I seriously doubt that everyone in here is telling the truth. good thing it's anonymous fellas. :rolleyes:

as for me, I'm 200 pounds, I do ten reps of 115 pounds, three sets. I don't know my max but I'd guess it's around 185 or so.

I'm 165-170 lbs I do 8-10 reps of the 8th weight down on the bench press machine.

I rep at 135 I can do a set of ten, rest set of nine, rest set of 3 or 4.  I can max at like 165-70.  Or at least I could when i was working out

115?!  No offense dude but I'm a little guy (barely 135 pounds) and I easily bench way more than I weigh.  Last I checked I had no problem throwing up 180.

12-15 probably. Also keep in mind that 115 isnt my max, its just what I routinely use. I'm due to move up but haven't because I'm using 115 on the inclined bench so I'm already tired when I get to the regular bench. :finger:
