I'm dying of cancer

I didn't want to post it in the regular forums cause I just would rather not.  So I was diagnosed with prostate cancer a couple weeks ago and they're giving me 6 months to live.  I'm scared and don't know what to do.  Can anyone tell me something comforting about death?  This fucking sucks I'm only 23 years old.  :frown:

If this is serious I am very sorry to hear this. Fuck all OTD type posters. :mushroom2:  vaporize some marijuana and try to get some hemp oil, supposedly these things have anti cancer effects. There is always hope :sun:

there are certain diets you can go on that some people swear has cured their cancer.
i would look into that.

i would also go see as many awesome places as you can in your remaining months.  go see las vegas, australia, italy, bahamas, etc...

and cherish your time with friends and especially family.

Really sorry to hear it man. Was it caught at a really advanced stage? Six months... damn. Keep your head up and try to stay as positive as possible. Listen music that makes you happy, enjoy as much time with friends and family as possible. I sincerely wish you the best.

Assuming this isn't a troll...

Death is the natural state. It's life that's really weird and fucked up when you think about it. We were all dead for billions of years before we were born and we'll all be dead for billions more years after we die. Everyone you've ever known is on the same journey. And when you die the universe will still exist, and you will still be part of it, just in a different form.

You're really young. I hope you get a second opinion from a top-notch specialist. All any doctor can do is make an informed guess, and many people defy the odds. But also be thankful you've been able to enjoy the life you had. Most people are born into abject poverty or starvation, or born with crippling disabilities, or born into slavery, and lead lives of torment. It's quality not quantity, and a luxurious life in modern society is the best you could have gotten in the history of the world. Even in your final moments, whenever they may be, you will be well taken care of and need not feel any pain. And all of us, every one, will be joining you when our own time is up. So make the most of the time you have left, and prepare for the greatest trip of your life. We're all here to help.

yeah, if I was ever diagnosed with cancer, I'd get on MMJ right away, and probably various mushroom therapies too (enoki, reishi, shitake, etc).  And also, don't settle for the doctor you have, call every cancer center you can find, research your cancer, and try to get in on experimental treatments and stuff.  One thing is for sure, now is not the time for complacency.  You have to take charge of your disease and own your path to wellness.  Whatever you do, don't give up, people have survived after a diagnosis like that.

Other than that, spend as much time with family and loved ones as you can.

I would say begin using Salvia Divinorum, there is some speculation by scientists that Salvinorin A has the potentiality to reverse cancer.

My boyfriend just got diagnosed with prostate cancer.  It sucks.

Not really.  It sucks to have to die so young. 

LET YOURSELF FEEL SAD, ANGRY, whatever.  Cry with people you love, and for yourself.  Let them see you. If you don't, you're already dead.  Grieving by yourself and with your loved ones will allow you to enjoy the time you aren't grieving with them.

I can tell you a little something about dying.  Practice.  Lie down comfortably, Breathe in and out, and exhale for as long as you comfortably can.  When you have exhaled as long as you can, don't breathe in, but stay there for a second.  Get comfortable with that place, try and stay there for longer and longer amounts of time.  You aren't ready, but with 6 months, you can get ready.

is prostate cancer in young people common? i've never heard of this before.

make the most out of the five minutes or so of brain activity after your heart stops.

i've always been fascinated with the thought of it, it could seem like an eternity, maybe you could go to "heaven" and see family again, or do whatever it is you've always wanted to.

it's something to look forward to, i think.
