What i read was the update program was going to send your ip and any other information it has about you to microsoft.

I dont know if its true or what.

just make sure you have the "devilsown" release of winxp pro (corp), and don't use the cdkey that is in the .nfo file. look for a keygen called "XP KeY ReCoVeRER AND DiSCOVErER 5.12" by "The Blue List", and use it to make you a valid winxp corp. cd key, use that, and voila! no more problems with M$

they can't do anything with it, because it's pretty much a violation of your privacy :tongue:

they could only prevent you from downloading updates, so don't worry about it :smile:

also i don't think they have the time to go after the hundred thousand people who used a warez copy of windows :laugh:
