Reusing contaminated cakes

If I have a cake and part of it gets contaminated, can I cut off the contamination and continue? Also, can I use a contaminated cake to grow outdoors? (The outdoor growing TEK said that outside contamination is not a problem.) Thanks.

If you decide to cut off the contam, i would let it fruit seprately from other cakes, so the contams dont spread any further...
Ive put a contam cake in the ground outside once and it grew fine... dont know why it happened, but iwasnt complaining.
