If you got busted for whatever, and the cops searched you're property, including computer... Could posts on your computer be used against you in a court of law? I'm not asking theory, are there any lawyers? Any experiences?

well technically if you posted things like how you grew or that you liked shrooms it would not be able to hold up in a court if you have a good lawyer simply because you could be lying, but if you posted and then they find things like shrooms related to the posts then that might make the rest more credible.

I believe ganjaguru's right.

I've often seen people post things which are obviously about themselves but they say "my FRIEND thinks........" or "I dreamt about selling some mushrooms" or something like that....... but its not necessary - the internet is full of lies, so none of this is submissible I don't think. We're not swarn under oath here on the shroomery, so everything we say is totally bullshit.... right? ;-)

im a patholigical liar on the net ... im really a 12 y/o french girl living on the ivory coast ... we live in a 12 bedromm masion in the bush ... my father comes from a long line of professors and my mother is a one-room school teacher, poor bushmen ... if they only knew how french culture could save them ... on sunday mornings after service we take a drive out in the bush and watch the lions, spendid fun ... i raise champian bred pigions have 2 english bull mastiffs.

Unless your dealing, I would not worry about it at all.
I really doubt a small grow op of mush,worrys the cops enuff to fuck with us.
If your growing just say a "friend" is if your paranoid about it.
I would be more worried about the porn on your computer, than the shroomery, if you were to get busted.

well...internet posting and email, ect have been used against people in a court of law before..more than a few times..look what happened to people from "the hive" a while back, or even more recently a major international "internet" drug bust involving gbl(a precursor to ghb) try http://groups.google.com/groups?dq=&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&safe=off&th=3936ac94ded5443a&seekm=5e994357.0209252159.5ec433bc%40posting.google.com#link1 for more info...this bust took place almost entirely thru internet surveilence..a "canadian" reseller of gbl, who didn't even sell to the states, was busted by the american DEA "in canada" with help of the canadian authorities..they also arrested numerous people throughout the states..this bust was 2 years in the making..purely thru internet survielence (websites, newsgroups, ect..)..these busts have happened..and will continue to happen..what do you think the DEA's internet division does all day?..of course they monitor this website to "some" extent..in my opinion, keep your posts impersonal and timeless (i.e. my friend says, a few years ago..)..don't give them anything to use against you if anything ever did happen..or any evidence to tell a judge while trying to get a search warrant against you for any reason...stay one step ahead of them, cuz thats what they're doing to you...obviously >federal< law enforcment "probably" wouldn't expend energy on small time shroom grow ops, but..better safe than sorry..drug laws suck..especially when they happen to you..support your local drug reform movement..
