Finally we are getting some good snow...Stormy California

So this winter has been quite dry so far in northern California, worse than last year at this point which was pretty bad as well. Not only do we really need the snow since the snow pack is our water supply and irrigation for all of the Ag in the central valley, but I  really need the snow.....to snowboard upon :wink:

I ride some park but I'm more of a off the trail, through the tree's, hitting drops, and shredding powder sorta guy. This winter has not been like a typical sierra winter at delivering powder, until this past week...6-8 feet of super dry cold fluffy snow(15:1 snow ratio) have fallen in some places, with another 2-4 feet expected from the storm rolling in now not to mention the 50-100mph winds...

The reason i am excited is i am planning on going riding on Tuesday or Wednesday....It is going to be so damn deep, nipple deep, snorkel
deep....Epic!

Thank god, the snowpack in the Sierras is so low it's ridiculous.  Reno's gonna have a shitty year.

Christ... it's raining like a motha fucka here in the valley I'm going up to survey some land that I'm looking at in the sierras about 2 hours north of Sac today I hope I don't get stuck.. we need this rain so bad though so bring it on. Almost lost my home to a wildfire last summer, can't have that happen again.

My god man. It's been forever since I have skied or snowboarded in powder like that. Now you made me want to go skiing out west. Eh, perhaps next year.

i would love to go snowboarding right now!! i haven't been in a while and i miss it! it is so cool seeing snow on the mountains out here in the bay area.  i would never expect it .  it has been raining a lot but also kind of sunny. i like it.
