We felt pretty crisp, and you can feel it warming you up. At least we can, but we're skinny folks who live in a cold climate. I love it personally, and if you read even just a little about it, there's nothing to not love.

urtica dioica stinging nettle in symbiosis with cannabis can increase the potency of cannabis. it can do the same for many herbs. not the easiest plants to grow though. its also good for blood pressure.

Are you saying I should smoke some nettles with my herb?

And what is good for blood pressure? Nettles? Weed & Nettles?

i think just the stinging nettles are good for blood pressure, i imagine smoking anything wont do your circulatory system any great favours...

according to that 101 uses of nettles book, they are also good for
"hay fever and other allergies; acne and other skin conditions; arthritis and rheumatism; asthma; stress; high blood pressure; depression; enlarged prostate gland" and many others i think... loads of practical (non medicinal) uses as well.

my new thing at the moment is bay tea. it rocks

allowing the stinging nettles roots to grow with the cannabis roots increases potency of cannabis. i wouldnt try smoking stinging nettle.....

urtica dioica is a potentiator of herbs when grown with them(symbiosis)

mycorrhizal fungi with root symbiosis is also a potentiator. http://www.reforest.com/

certain strains of weed may be good for blood pressure but i dont know. stinging nettle is what i was referring to. i cant get my stinging nettle to grow but oyster mushrooms are easy to grow and they help with blood pressure.

Interesting info guys, thanks. I was wondering about the whole MJ and blood pressure issue, I didn't think you meant that, but thought it would be good to ask.

And mush, you seem to be a positive addition to our community, what happened to your ratings?

i posted in off topic discussion, and they give people bad ratings randomly just to be dickheads, although it doesnt bother me. i also pissed off some of the people in that forum.

@Visionary Tools: We both have pictures of bunnies eating weed as our avatars! I hope your rabbits enjoyed it as much as mine did.

@whattheheck: I think he was saying they had nettle growing next to the weed and they smoked the weed.

That's why I had to quote you. Rabbits are wonderful creatures and I adore them.

So if I grow nettles next to my herb, it will influence it?

most likely. the RTI fungi would as well. they both increase oil content/terpene content, so youll have more flavor and a better high, as well as more potency. certain terpenes are very hallucinogenic.

This is a great thread. Thanks for all the information everyone! I really want to try some nettle tea, I'm having a hard time finding it in the stores just loose. There are capsules and extracts, but I want the real thing. I think I might find some worth drying myself though, there is a ton of it around here.

Any brewing tips?

Ah man, you can get a grip for dirt cheap, and I imagine that there's gotta be a joint in the PNW that has it, considering all the hippie dippie folks out there

If you want, I can send you a ton for nothin.

Yeah, I'm sure it's around, but I live kind of out of town so it's hard for me to get to a place that would sell it. I'm going to check a few more places tomorrow when I'm in a more populated area and I'm sure I'll find it. Just nowhere convenient yet! Thanks for the offer though! When I do find it I'm going to buy a shit-ton of it, I'm trying to get my mother to try something more natural for her arthritis, she doesn't seem interested so far...she likes her prescriptions a little too much I think.

Meds :crazy2:

This stuff is seeming to really help. My hands were even better today, and even if it's psychosomatic, it feels real so,

wouldnt bother buying it if theres loads of it about anyway. will probably be loads nicer if you pick them  brewing tips, either dry a load and chuck it in water, or use it fresh by grinding it up in water and straining the gunk out. would recommend trying nettle soup as well. heres a link to a random recipe off google:
