iv been reading through some of the old threads in this forum, and notice alot of suspision about this order, and wonder...why? what is sinister about the rosicrusians as an organization or as individuals?
iv personally known a few in my life and have found them to be quite integral and compassionate and heart centered, more so than most people.

The best book to read on the subject, imho, is Paul Foster Case's "True and Invisible Rosecrucian Order". It gets to the heart and spirit of what it is about, rather than the conspiracy stuff.

One thing about them is it is not actually know who or what the order is or was. As far as today goes there are many groups and organizations claiming to be Rosecrucian. What I like about Cases book is that it points out that it doesn't matter what organization you belong to that determines if you are a Rosecrucian, but rather the spirit of the order you may or may not embody which determines whetehr one is or isn't a Rosecrucian. I agree with this perspective personally.

they are a group of people who figured out you could talk about sex with a symbol called a rosy cross and be sex positive but still hide within the church.  Because most people in the church were so stupid and dull, they didn't realize that the rosy cross was a way for smart people to talk about sex.

And then a bunch of interesting stuff formed around how these smart secretly sex positive people influenced society.

Sex symbolism is the most obvious interpretation but the true significance of the rose and cross is much deeper.

the deeper stuff is the most obvious superficial interpretation and the sex interpretation is much deeper.
