Got a fat sack of the green at Vitamin Cottage yesterday for $0.60 :thumbup:

I'm guessing we'll get 20+ cups easy out of it. It's powerful for sure.

In a ll of my travels, and if there's been anything worth reading written about health in the past 100 years, there's a great chance I read it, for whatever reason, this never grabbed me. I have to believe that I heard of it, but maybe not.

After reading up at over a dozen sites a few nights ago, I am sold.

I love nettle tea.  I go pick wild nettle in spring and dry it out to make my own tea.  The fuckers are mean but the tea is worth every bit.  It's invigorating and enlightening..good shit.

Nettle tea is the fucking shit. Tastes far better than spinach! Perks me up more than coffee does.

Nettles contain a lot of histamine, 5HT (serotonin) and formic acid in their trichromes, amongst other things. A friend of mine (I go to an unemployment government mandated dole scum course, 90% of everyone there smokes weed) said when his mate grew weed amongst nettle bushes that it was the weirdest smoke they ever had. Made his face and lungs tingle, but in a nice way, and gave him sweats.

This stuff is amazing. I dropped all caffeine two weeks ago, even my beloved green, and I'm glad I did. This stuff is unreal. I will never look back.

found out recently that, although the old cure of dock leaves for nettle stings does work (kind of), a better way to sort it out is to grind some nettles up in water and pour that over the sting. sounds bizzare but it works.

ive known people who have used nettles as a replacement for tobacco in joints when they were trying to quit tobacco. why not i suppose, cant be any worse for you than tobacco really...

not personally, but have been told by friends that drinking lots of nettle tea before summer came helped them out with hayfever, and that nettle soap has been helpful for skin conditions like eczema...

I've recently experimented with it. I think I made the brew too weak and then used way too many leaves and cooked it way too long.

It was like pitch black, dark green.

I also got worried because there is something about cystoliths in old nettle leaves that are bad on the kidneys and I didn't know if it was just for eating or was extracted into the tea.
