Mushroom-Hut Shop: Substrate Mix

So the cat has been busy, and has a couple of casings going strong.  BUT....

Have a look at this!



Note the blue-green round structures.  At first the cat thought that the mean green had made an appearance, but now he?s not so sure.  The green, in my cat?s experience, is fluffly and smeary when it?s at the stage where it resembles this.  When these oddities are picked and squished, they turn hella blue, hella fast, which leads him to think they?re just primordia.  But why the ugly color???

Another view (note that some of these aren?t blue, but brownish-green?)



Has anyone else had anything similiar on their casings?  Inquiring cat minds want to know :grin:.

I'd say contamination...
Mycelium is not the only thing that changes colour under pressure.
But that's just my opinion as a layman.

It's got some condensate on it, as the other casing has. It's something that always happens....
