Heh, I had the same problem when tickets went on sale for the Hampton show.

I'm pissed I didnt get a ticket.  It sucks living 12min away from the venue and not having a ticket :-D

Grrr....I went to the ticketmaster at 10 am only to find out that they are only available through livenation now, nd when I went on the website it says tickets are already sold out.
Im fucking pissed. :kingcrankey:

yup. i was on the phone at the same time (as online) and the operator (after they sold out) directed me to tickets now. then i got disconnected. so i got on the website and tix were $300-$1000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fuck that shit!

i was really pissed at first because this is the first time in 12 years that i've been turned down from phishtix and ticketbastard/livenation, but then i thought about the size of the venues. every venue (that i could travel too) is under 10,000 capacity.

ticketsnow.com has some more "reasonably' priced tickets...whe i checked earlier they were going around 130 for lawn. After bullshit charges though it comes out to around 160 ea. which i frankly dont have to put out

I got an email from Live Nation for the one in PA (apparently they think Columbus is close enough to there they thought I should know about ?) I thought they already did a lottery, so what's this bullshit now?

After the lottery theres also tickets made available through livenation, unfortunately I think the whole tour sold out in minutes plus the livenation site totally crashed for like an hour right at 10 :nonono:

Looks like Ill be spending that day in the lots. I'm sure that'll be fun too :lol:

People have designed these programs that buy a bunch of tickets at once so they can sell them for outrageous prices (to/through ticketsnow and similar companies).
There was a poast about the ethics of this in the P&S forum a few months back. These shitbricks are sitting back and makeing a ton of money just by running a program and fucking over the rest of us who actually work for our money.

If it were up to me Id make it so you could ONLY buy tickets in person.

i agree. before ticketbastard took over, (around here) we had ticketlink. this was before online ticketing was around. you had to get in line early as hell to ensure that you got a good seat. there was a period of about 6 or 7 years where i had a close friend who worked for ticketlink, and as soon as the ticket clock started, she'd snag up the first row of seats for me and all of my friends. i miss that.

getting back to the point of the quote:

i think that getting tickets in person is how things should be. allowing computer programs to snatch up all the tickets before humans can is absolutely ridiculous. its legal scalping.

im just guessing based on the fact that 4 of my friends have tickets already. i cant imagine them being available still..

i heard a show sold out in like 10 seconds. phish fans r crazy
