UFC 94: St-Pierre vs. Penn 2

I am pretty hyped to see this show, on two levels.

Penn Vs St-Pierre being the first. My prediction is i am going with GSP on this one.

Machida  vs Silva is the second, and this is the one i have waited for for a bit. 13-0 vs 13-0 ....  Machida is my pick for that fight.


OK who is everybody pulling for?

If BJ comes in with cardio, i think he'll win.



I don't consider the size advantage to help much, since BJ's fought solid competition above GSP's weight class even.

Pulling for GSP and Machida, but I think Silva actually takes that fight.  Silva has some killer instinct man.


By the way this fight is my favorite fighter versus my second favorite fighter in the whole sport.  Therefor, I think I'm the winner.

i like both fighters, but let's see how penn's cardio is like...hope he doesn't gas out.

I have a feeling GSP will take it though.

Silva over machida as well...i think this one will be a good fight. machida i don't know...he's quick, only does counter punches but never finishes a fight, unlike silva. silva's muay thai is awesome..good technique

Still got to pull for Machida in this one..  I think he is going to pull this out...    Well ether way you are going to see unbeaten challenger vs unbeaten champ. That in it's self should put some asses in the seats when ether Silva or machida get their shot at the light heavy weight title.

I don't really like BJ and he seems like kind of a dick, but anybody moving up to take on GSP gets my vote.

I like machida.  He reminds me alot of fighters from the older schools of martial arts.  Like Cung Le, or Aoki Shinya (albeit a completely diff fighting style).



I really don't care about his lack of finishing.  He shows that there are still the promise of other martial arts styles and their incorporation into MMA.

You know he does have some KO power.. His fight with Rich Franklin, Stephan Bonnar, and Dimitri Wanderley, were all KOs.  It just seem lately allot of his fights have gone the distance.  Honestly i think he is going to  beat Thiago..  Machida  is a good package of different styles including  good stand up, and very underrated  ground game, due to him holding a black belt in BJJ, and training with Nogueira.... Not that this will be an easy fight because Thiago is a beast, and he is coming to fight.  But if Thiago does beat him, i wouldn't be totlay upset because i rather like Silva as well.. Two of my favoirte up and comers in this fight, so really this is a good fight for me to watch. I feel like Jadian in this one.. :rotfl::rotfl:



As for BJ vs George...  Still got to go with GSP. The mother fucker has been basically schooling people in their areas of fighting in the last few fights, and i think even if BJ gets him to the ground, i think GSP has the tools to beat him.

I really hope he wins.  One of my most favourite fighters.

Shotokan Karate is my predominant martial art, so I love rooting for him.  His shotokan style totally shines through and I love it.

If I were betting I'd put my money on GSP, but I remember thinking the same thing when Penn fought Hughes (that Penn would lose).
