To the OP, he messed up the oath, but he nailed the speech.  I've been watching CSPAN for 2 days, and I saw Clinton mess it up too on the replay.

The legality of the matter is moot though.  Legally all the president elect has to do is say "I do" to the oath as prescribed by text, not orally.

So none of it is important as long as he gives an affirmative.

They had a lawyer say it on CSPAN at like 4am, so I'm not just blowing smoke.
