Bout to take the plunge into DMT land....

So I am done with my homework, don't have class until 1230pm tomorrow and am sitting here deciding when to fire it up.

I plan to sandwich it between weed, I have no vap pipes and besides I hear you can get good results from this way. I have a decent stash so I can experiment if need be.

I have no idea how to prepare for this, but I suppose this is how it goes when taking something for the first time. Just need to man up and do it, or dont do it.

I am just gonna take some time to collect myself and get ready to be amazed.

Damn i know what you mean with the anticipation. Ive been sitting on some 5meo-dmt for a while but have yet to try it. I kinda wana do it out in nature somewhere, but every time i go someplace i forget it at home.

lol, i used to smoke salvia because i was too afraid of my semi-low dose dmt experiences.

i figured salvia is easier to forget about afterward.

salvia isn't a psychedelic though, it's more of a dissociate and it sucks in my opinion.  All salvia did for me was made me feel paralyzed and I couldn't think, like my brain got smashed with a hammer.  And I had prickly spikes all over my body.  Horrible drug.

DMT shouldn't be like that at all because it's a psychedelic and  much more visual.

here it is.

this is my trip report on salvia.

i bought a 1/2 gram and had 4 experiences which werent that great. i kind of gave up on the salvia and put it away. about 3 days later my chick and i start to fight so i grab a beer and the salvia, sat down and watched jackass.

i load my bong which this time does not have any water, take a huge hit, hold it in for 30 secs and blow out. with in secs i get a crazy body high and all the shit begins to happen.

at first, the right side of my vision was stripped of all color and was ripped away from my sight. then from the left a HUGE wave of white takes out the rest of my vision and now all sense of reality is gone. theres is nothing to see or focus on. just white.

(this will sound dumb)

johnny knoxville appears and starts to talk to me, there is still no objects or color accept johnny. he tells me that im in hell and EVERYONE knows my thoughts and what ive done in the past. that basically my life was a real fucked up joke and everyone knows about it but me. he goes on and tells me that i cant trust anyone and that everyone is connected to the devil. after this i remember saying, "some one please help me" then my dog jumps up in my lap and starts licking me. i then push her off and tell her that i do not want to hurt her.

i finally come out of it and im freaking out. i kept speaking fast and hysterical like a crazy fuck u would meet on the streets. i then start telling my chick and my dog to fuck off and that i cant trust her or the dog.

ive done a lot of hallucinogenics but never have i had a trip like this. I LOST MY FUCKING MIND for about an hour. this was a strong, intense trip i wish to never experience again.

I've only tried it once and but I did it wrong.  I kind of felt like I was about to be catapulted above the trees I was looking at, but the feeling abruptly subsided and I landed gracefully back into my lawn chair.  I don't do well with high anxiety experiences like that so the quicker the blast-off the better.  I absolutely hate the come ups on LSD or shrooms, my stomach is always like a washing machine but once it's a full blown peak I'm okay.

It's nice to have someone grab the pipe/bong/vape out of your hand after you smoke it, I was pretty much out cold after I ripped the shit out of a vape and needed someone to grab it from me.

Well I smoked it in sandwiched in the bowl, put a good amount on, it filled most the bowl and I got 4 good hits. I wonder if I needed to hold it in harder, but it was kinda hard to with the amount of smoke. I really got some good ones, and I felt pretty weird... a sort of adrenaline type feel, but that might have been nervousness. Overall I would say it felt like mushrooms except I felt a lot of energy in my body, like a really pleasant LSD buzz if that makes sense.

I tried again (25min later) with more dmt and less weed, damn near any. And I got about the same effect, maybe a bit higher dose, but nothing like a full reality shift.

All in all it was nice to get a little peak into what its like, but tomorrow I think I will get a vaporizing pipe so I dont waste anymore.

Any thoughts? Could I torch the dmt in my bowl if I try to not contact it with the flame? I found it hard to get the dmt to burn unless I put weed over top it.

Don't touch the flame to the DMT, hold it just above so that the DMT "melts" if that makes sense, hold in your hits for as long as you can, i got launched into hyperspace my first time :smile:

DMT is the most amazing drug. I smoke it on top of some weed and it works every single time.

My last trip was extremely intense, mind-shattering visuals, combined with my mind racing, remembering a specific thought or occurrence on every single day for the last 4 years of my life.

It was amazing, to say the least.

Smoked it again last night, I still didnt really have a crazy experience. But right when I exhaled it was pretty powerful how quickly I get a body load where I feel the need to rest my head and lay back. Its actually pretty pleasant feeling, reminds me of a highish dose of LSD or whatever when you just fading out, pretty peaceful.

Visually it has been pretty sweet, but so far I am still aware of what is going on, just feels like a quick burst of a peak of mushrooms/lsd.

I will keep trying, I think I just need to do it like its my fucking job and hold in my hits as long as possible no matter what.

More to come... haha

But yeah, DMT is awesome, its hippie crack :lol:

Hah, maybe I am not describing it well enough via the internets. Last night I had a pretty amazing trip. But I still find it to be, in the moment not that emotionally devastating. I have heard that observation confirmed by some others and in Strassmans book. The only part of the experience that is unsettling and odd to me is the blast off effect right after exhaling, but anyone that has dosed high with lsd or shrooms should be practiced in the art of just going with what happens.

I had some amazing patterning over all my vision, a lot like LSD but still more diamond shaped.

When I closed my eyes I could make out a vast plane that almost looked like a barren desert with some valleys and peaks. It was odd. But like I said, I felt like emotionally I was totally fine with what was happening. Compared to my experiences on mushrooms, I felt surprisingly alright with the flood of emotions.

Tonight I am gonna really try to rip it and get a stronger trip, I desire to find out just how far it can take you.

My crystals are white and fluffy, seems like the best you can get from a STB tek.

see, for me anyway, dmt isnt really a drug about forgetting where you are and shit like that. even during my most intense sessions with the drug, i was always aware that my body was still where i left it, and that i was indeed on a drug. the ego stays mostly intact. i never really lose my head with dmt, at least not in the same way as more classical psychedelics such as shrooms and lsd. thats one of the things i like most about it actually.

as a rule i like to give myself at least 24 hours between doses. but thats not to say i havent broken my rule...

I just had the most ridiculous trip ever in my life. That was insanely shocking. I dont know what the fuck happened at some points. My room started shifting around like vertigo type effects or something, shapes became blobish and cartoon like. Colors were more exaggerated, then I saw a light orb thing emit from my body and towards some source or something. That light was so vivid and complex looking. I then looked like I was looking into a jungle type landscape, mayan patterns... etc, everything was influx and warping. I thought I saw faces and arms of spirits all around me. I felt like they were telling me they were always around, that they are connected to me, that humans are all one at a fundamental level, like our spirits are all of the same cognizant eternal being...

I was hearing resonance all around me too, the music sorta was fading away and I felt like I was hearing electric static but it still had a boing to it... hard to describe.

I dont know, my thoughts were going nuts and during a lot of it I felt like it was like a lucid dream in some sense, my reasonable self was like holy shit DMT is nuts... I was somewhat rational somewhere in my tripping thought pattern. But for the most part I felt like I was def going for a ride somewhere totally foreign to me, its hard to describe. Also I felt like I could visualize my thoughts in a sense, as a physical expression of instant brain changes or something, and that they are sift able...

During the whole thing my I felt my body loading up more an d more, I was energizing rapidly or something, I felt like my body was becoming less and less important, it was like I was trying to leave it, and this was the process and I felt like I was engaged in that but sometimes I would realize it and recognize my body, but this all felt very fine and natural... I would say that in general that trip felt really profound and moving like a very spiritual experience, I have yet to get that intense of feeling about a trip being that important and impactful. DMT is so shocking but utterly awesome.

Now that I am sobering up, I am still kinda having the shakes, that was shocking and at parts I was tearing up, insane adrenaline rush at the moment though... That whole experience felt like some warped hyper dimension, that is only comprehend able for us to call a dream... fucking nuts

I dunno really what that means, I can see how that trip could be called that... but I never had a directly obvious entity clearly speak to me, I felt like I was absorbing a message in my mind, it wasnt visually direct that some of other peoples crazy trips. I will probably try again sometime, dunno when I want to again though right now, I might wait a lil while.

I felt like the visualization of the warping spirits or something were trying to convey to me those thoughts about humans true nature or something, it was so visceral at times.

Well words do it no justice, its funny when i tell people about being in another dimension/reality and people think im crazy.  They think im a nut, but its what happened to me.  Burst into the space that was more bizarre/complex then i could have ever even imagined.  And the place felt more real than waking reality.

Very interesting. I've gone WAY out there on shrooms (have a crazy tek for them) and most people think I'm either making it up or can't relate. A few people who went along for the ride understand though. But THIS sounds like something of a whole 'nother sort.

The idea that a lot of people see the same thing is interesting to me.

And sorry for using the wrong terminology there.

Nah its all good, my most intense mushrooms experience is 5 gram lemon tek then eating 14 gram amanita, that was a crazy trip.  But DMT is just... nothing can get more intense imo.

My last few shroom trips we REALLY intense. I went the whole 9 with everything, and man, I got obliterated. Well, there was no "me", but I'm sure you understand.

DMT sounds like it's going to take you "there" also, and honestly, it's as freaky as it is attractive. That's why I'm following this thread, andrewss is doing a great job laying it out.

Yeah, mckenna describes psilocybin as the voices teach to you about the universe and on DMT you can to pull the curtain and see them.  Its truly amazing, when you come back its the most mind blowing thing ever.  Its just so... if you haven't been there you cannot even fathom the experience even psychedelic users.  I have also seen it being sold, i used to have a big dealer of LSD for my city.  He would have 5-6 different kinds of blotter, vials, and jellies.  Would occasionally have DMT and K.

I cannot imagine. Seriously. I need to look into this all the more.

I gotta ask though, I haven't heard anything about "good" vs "bad" DMT trips as you do with shrooms and sometimes LSD, can they happen? Everyone talks about crying and being so happy and all of that. It would seem that there has to be a flip side to the coin, and it can't be good. Or am I wrong?

DMT is like Salvia in a way. You gotta break through to the " other " side. Salvia space and DMT space. There both INCREDIBLE. You will definitively know when you've broken through you can count on that.

Sure bad DMT trips happen but not many people chose to indulge in DMT and there usually experience psychonauts so bad trips tend to happen less.Atleast it's my theory.

Dimethyltryptamine. It's a natural tryptamine found in many sources one of them being our own pineal gland in the brain. Pretty neat huh :mushroom2:

I wanna give it another shot sometime soon, like when I can afford to buy a big new pile of rootbark and I'm a bit more confident. My "breakthrough" experience was sorta like yours, very difficult to compile or make sense of, but unforgettably intense. My last impression was that I needed to try again later when my mind was in a different place.

A friend told me that you'll get more DMT out of it if you buy the bark and grind it yourself than if you buy it powdered. Is this true?

DMT = Dimethyltriptamine.  Its actually produced indigenously in the body, many people believe the pinal gland.  Although no scientific data backs this claim)  Its very safe and the experience lasts 4-7 minutes.  You take a hit and you start to get a real strange energy flow inn your body and u start to feel "funny"  Edges get sharper, lines are more defined, colors are brighter.  Take a second hit and its like the most intense acid trip you have ever had, things start morphing and super intense visuals.  Then you have to take one last big rip, and you just get this real strange energy build up and then a release of the energy and the feeling of breaking through something.  And your in this other relhm of reality.  Colors are just rushing at your huge slowly rotating fractals of energy and light just vibrating.  I never got machine elves, but i just broke into another dimension.  And it sounds crazy, like you can't even imagine it, like it sounds made up.  But its real, and i tell people about it and they think im crazy.  I'm not crazy this is just what happened.  The normal world is just 100% replaced with hyperspace.

Yeah DMT is awesome.

I bought it in unpowdered... I spent a lot of time in with the blender to get it to very very fine powder and only fiber. I dont know if I did that better than anyone else... who could tell. It might be more to do with the actual quality of what bark you have in your bag and how that might vary. I dunno... I am no expert :sun:

Yeah i bought it man, it was rocky white stuff with a tint of yellow.  It ravaged my mind to say the least.  My acid dude had some gooooood connects with in the psychedelic community.  He might have been going straight off the cook.  He would have like 10 sheets in his car with them and stuff and people would bulk buy 300 hits at once for 900 dollars.  He made a lot of money, but i'd say he was 22, looked like a late-teenager.

Imagine all five senses + thought collapsing into a singular superdense experience of reality. Minutes feel like days. The sensations, visuals, and emotions are well beyond the English language's capacity for abstraction. It feels as though reality has been left aside, sloughed off like a snake's shed skin or a broken eggshell.

I feel like all these descriptions of "aliens" and "elves" and "other dimensions" are pretty much bemused trippers blindly grasping for an approximation for an experience which does not exist in our language. The more you try to prepare, by reading trip reports, asking people about it, etc. the more your expectations will be utterly annihilated once you finally try it.

It makes me wonder if the natives whose spiritual lives heavily involved psychedelics had languages which were more accommodating for these intensely altered experiences of reality.

Ive only tried small doses so far. The best description i have for these size doses is that it feels like standing at the very edge of a high mountain and looking down. Its a very intense feeling of awareness being greatly increased very quickly. I find it intimidating, even at the threshold doses Ive tried, but afterwards i feel very peaceful. I also found that the insights it gives can be very real and profound.

It seems to me to be the fighter jet of psychedelics and I'm not positive it suits my personality type. But i want to give it more of a chance before i make my mind up.

For your next time, if you want breakthrough, have a normal tobacco pipe (old school bowl, you know.) and some steelwool, sandwich a very good amount between the steelwool, and put that in the pipe. Turn the pipe around, and light a flame under it, pull slowly after a good few seconds, and once you feel the smoke coming through good, pull as hard as you can, and hold it in for as long as humanly possible, take a quick breath, and repeat. Try and get 3-4 BIG hits in less than a minute, and when you feel like you shouldn't take anymore, take another HUGE hit.

The best way to do this is if someone else is holding the pipe and the lighter for you, and telling you to take the last hit. Just go for it, and break through.
