These were photographed by a friend who found them in norhtern ohio....he thought they looked alot like P. cubs and says that they grew up with their likeness....they are definately not cubs..... but anyway they were found growing behind a building in a shady spot out of the lawn......they had veils(not too apparent in the pic) and their spore print is a dark black color.......any ideas??? Also note that these were in a refridgerator for about a week so they dont really look all that vibrant like they used too
::Edit in:: Ooops....thanks for the quick move Anno ...ive been away for a while and forgot that IDs go in the hunting forum........

They bruised that tanish color and seemed to grow in clumps mostly(if it matters).....I'll try and get some more/better pics....

weird.... they did have veils? and the spores are dark... agaricus even? but no. there are remnants of veil on the margin. psathyrella? not the infamous velutinus? does this appear to be similar? http://www.cx.sakura.ne.jp/~kinoko/01eng/psathyrella_velutina1.htm just guessing. peace....

well, i said not agaricus because of those remnants at the margin. thats a pretty distinctive feature, and i dont know what agaricus does that. anyway, good luck.
