How can you say that about a whole genre of music? Reggae often very heartfelt and politically motivated music. You have to remember that ganja is a sacrament to Rastafarians, just like the communion is to Christians.

For comparison, it would be like me saying metal is just some phase pent-up angsty teenagers go through when they feel that no-one understands them as they strive to be different. Obviously a fallacy.
